Brooklyn Nets (Pro Basketball)

Compared to other sports, the NBA has been slower to adopt technology as part of their training and data gathering. Many teams still rely on paper-based methods to develop their players. However, the Nets approached us seeking to become a partner and leverage technology to enhance their training and data analysis capabilities, ultimately giving them a competitive edge to increase their chances of winning games.

Couch: "Can you help us win?"

We began our R&D efforts with a top-down approach, asking ourselves how we could win and do so quickly. Our journey began in a humble garage where I created the first prototype, enabling coaches to efficiently add players, manipulate their positions to demonstrate strategy, and replay actions for immediate player feedback.

"We need more, can we use our screens in the training facility for something useful?

I went in the facility to gather all I can and I did that for weeks trying to understand:

1. How they train?
2. What kind of data they have?
3. What technology are they using?
4. And how can I help?
